Our Kindergarten כוכבים had a great day! We learned the Kamatz vowel and combined it with single letters from the Alef Bet. We started thinking of words we know that have that have the Kamatz sound. (אבא, דג, חנה, חוה, חלה). While some have a patach vowel too, it was nice for the children to feel proud of themselves for reading a "real word" and not just random sounds.

Throughout the week the children will work on a Kamatz packet. While they work independently, I can work with one or two children separately and focus on their individual needs. This will also give me the chance to get to know their learning styles and abilities. Today I got to hear each child read from the packet. Please continue to reinforce Alef Bet letters and their sounds at home when you can.
